GLNS advises EMERAM Capital Partners and Frostkrone on the acquisition of Scottish finger food producer Innovate Foods

Frostkrone Group, a portfolio company of EMERAM Capital Partners and leading manufacturer of deep-frozen snacks in Europe and the USA continues its international expansion through the acquisition of the Scottish company Innovate Foods from its founder and managing director Tony Dumbreck.

Innovate Foods, located in Kirkcaldy, Scotland, produces deep-frozen finger food and snacks for the wholesale trade, retailers and the food service sector. The company, which will continue to be managed by Tony Dumbreck, belongs to the leading finger food producers in the UK. Current product innovations include the Portobello Mushroom Burger and Nacho Bites.

Headquartered in Rietberg, Germany, Frostkrone has modern production sites in Germany, France and the USA and has specialized in the development and production of frozen finger food and snack products. Funds advised by EMERAM acquired a majority in Frostkrone at the beginning of 2017, and the group has steadily grown internationally since then.

After having advised EMERAM on its acquisition of Frostkrone as well as all subsequent add-on transactions, GLNS advised again with Partner Ludger Schult (M&A/Private Equity) and Associate Eva-Maria Bayer (Corporate/M&A). The mandate for all aspects concerning Scottish law was held by Brodies LLP (Partner Neil Burgess, Associate Paul Breen and Senior Solicitor Richard Murdoch – all Corporate/M&A).
