GLNS advised LIECO, a Liechtenstein Group company, on the acquisition of F.O. Lürssen Baumschulen Gruppe.
The F.O. Lürssen Baumschulen Gruppe was founded in the early 1970s by Fritz-Otto Lürßen as an agricultural and forestry business and has been under the management of his son Christian Lürßen since 1981. The latter pursued the expansion and development of the company into today's F.O. Lürssen Baumschulen Gruppe, which is one of the largest and most efficient companies of its kind in Germany.
The Austrian LIECO is a company of the Liechtenstein Group, which belongs to the Fürstentum of Liechtenstein and is active in the fields of agriculture & food, forestry, renewable energies and real estate. Through the acquisition, LIECO becomes the leading forest plant supplier in the DACH region with five locations in Germany and two in Austria. The total production area is 335 hectares, around 28 million forest plants are sold annually.
