The shareholders of FITrate GmbH have sold their company shares to their Berlin-based competitor Urban Sports Club.
FITrate was established in Munich in 2015. Just like Urban Sports Club, FITrate offers a flat rate for different sports classes in partner studios. Members can choose between different memberships, depending on how frequently they want to use the services of the partner studios. FITrate operates in Munich, Cologne, Düsseldorf, Stuttgart, Nuremberg and Augsburg and it offers more than 40 different kinds of sports in 500 partner studios.
Urban Sports Club was established in 2012. The takeover of FITrate is the fourth acquisition of the Berlin-based company after purchasing Somuchmore, 99Gyms and Fitengo. The partner studios network will grow to more than 1,500 locations all over Germany as well as more than 200 locations in France.
GLNS advised the shareholders of FITrate in all aspects of the transaction through partners Reinhard Ege (Corporate/M&A) and Andreas Scheidle (Tax) and associate Maximilian Schott (Corporate/M&A).
